Luxor: The City of the Hundred Gates

   Luxor is located in the site of “Thebes”, capital of the Ancient Egyptians civilization and is also named “city of sun”.

On this 13-days tour you will see the highlights of Egypt.

Visit the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum, Memphis & Sakkara then move to visit Salah El Din Citadel and old Cairo before heading south to Luxor. Visit Dandara & Abydos.

Then move to visit Alexandria the pearl of midetranien, to enter Alexandria library “ the biggest library in the world” with 8 million books,  see the statue of Alexander the Great and the statue of Ptolemy the first, which was found underwater, the Roman Amphitheater of Alexandria, the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa and walk inside the old city center and local markets.

Then you will transfer to Aswan and Visit the high dam and other temples and monuments, then you enjoy a Nile cruise across the internal river,   to sail towards Luxor City where you will visit Karnak temple in the East bank. After that move to See Hatshepsut Temple, the Valley of the Kings. Also, see the Philae temple & High Dam in Aswan.

Then move to See Hatshepsut Temple & the Valley of the Kings at Luxor and Aswan in a Luxurious Nile Cruise . After That transfer by flight to Sharm El Sheikh to enjoy an entertaining and relaxing 5 days.

Day 01: Arrival to Cairo

Arrival to Cairo airport, Upon your arrival you will find our representative waiting for you , then you will be transferred by A/C car to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 04: Alexandria to Cairo & Overnight on Sleeping train to Aswan

Breakfast. Transfer to Cairo by an A/C car.

Transfer to the train station for your overnight Sleeper train to Aswan, Dinner on the train. Overnight on a sleeping train.

Note: We don’t recommend it, it takes 15 to 18 hours. We recommend that you upgrade and take a domestic flight which allows you to travel in comfort and gives you an extra night in a 5-star hotel.

Day 07: Visit The Temple of Horus in Edfu Overnight in Luxor

Day 10: Luxor to Sharm El-Sheikh & Overnight in Sharm El Sheikh

Departure by flight to Sharm El-Sheikh, Arrival, and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02: Cairo Tours to Pyramids & Egyptian Museum

Breakfast. Start your tour visiting the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. Enjoy a 5000 years art collection, the rarest, largest and most precious in the world . Including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry.

Then visit the Great Pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, Visit and enjoy a panoramic view of the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Visit The Great Sphinx, the Valley Temple & many outstanding photos stops.

At the end of the day, we will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 05: Arrival to Aswan & Overnight in Aswan

Day 08: Luxor East & West Bank tours

Breakfast on board. Start your tour visiting: Cross to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.

Excursion to the Necropolis of Thebes, drive to the Valley of Kings; visit the tombs of various Dynasties, The Temple of Deir El Bahari. On the return journey stop at the Colossi of Memnon which are two gigantic sitting statues representing Amenopis III facing the Nile then visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Then visit the East Bank: Karnak and Luxor Temple. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 12: Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo & Overnight in Cairo

Breakfast, departure by flight to Cairo. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo

Day 03: Alexandria Day Tour & Overnight in Alexandria

Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to start your tour to Alexandria. Start the tour with the library of Alexandria; the biggest library in the world – now with 8 million books. Visit its open court and free museums.

Note: Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays and on every public holiday. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase an extra ticket.

Then visit the Site of the Lighthouse; one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World on which now stands the castle of Qaitbey. Visit the royal gardens of King Farouk (the last king in the history of Egypt) and see the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek as well as the royal beaches of the queens. Continue your tour by visiting the prettiest and biggest mosque in the city: the Abul abbas Mosque, as well as the memorial of the Unknown Soldier of Alexandria and the statue of Alexander the Great.

You can then stop for lunch (Optional) before visiting the church of St. Mark – the oldest church in Africa before driving along the Cornish (30 km) to see the whole city of Alexandria from the sea side which includes the old harbor of Alexandria where we found 7000 monuments underwater. Stop over the famous bridge of Stanley – the modern landmark of modern Alexandria, before visiting the old downtown of Alexandria and walking through the old city-center of Alexandria: built by Alexander the great. Travel in comfort back to your hotel.

Day 06: Aswan tour to High Dam, the Philae temple & Overnight Cruise Breakfast.

(Optional not included) Departure to visit the Temple of Abu Simbel, The colossal Temple of Abu Simbel built by Ramses II (XIXth. Dynasty) and lately saved from the inundation of the Nile waters in among the glories of ancient Egyptian monuments.

The temples were built out of a sandstone rock cliff, and representation of the deities to which each was dedicated is carved on its huge façade.

Nearby, also saved, lies the small Temple of the King’s wife Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor. Back to Aswan.

Transfer to start your tour visiting: The High Dam which was completed in 1964. From here you can gaze across Lake Nasser. The Philae temple Sail by felucca (Egyptian sailboat) to the island of Agilkia. Visit the temple that was removed from their original island of Philae which lies submerged most of the year by the waters of Lake Nasser. The main Temple of Isis and its monuments were built between the 26th-dynasty and the Roman period.

Transfer to the Cruise. Boarding before lunch, Embarkation.Lunch on board Sail to KomOmbo.Afternoon Tea. Visit the temple shared by the two gods Sobek and Haroeris. Sail to Edfu.Dinner on board.Overnight in Edfu.

Day 09: free day in Luxor & Overnight in Hurghada

Breakfast on board, Disembarkation.

The flight is approximately 30:45 minutes depending on the weather

Departure by an A/C car to Hurghada, Arrival and transfer to your hotel.

Day 13: Final Departure

Breakfast at the hotel our representative will transfer you to the airport and assist you at the airport through final departure formalities.

 You can enjoy the Hot Balloon: Should you want to make your stay in Luxor unforgettable. Sharm El Sheikh

A Safari Tour in a 4 X 4 Vehicle to a Bedouin village for a tour to see their life and traditions then you will ride a camel and witness the amazing sunset view with barbeque dinner & watching stars by night.

A Snorkeling trip in different spots full of corals and magnificent colorful fish with a chance to swim with dolphins, enjoying the water sports activities on Giftun Island and the national park with open buffet lunch aboard the cruise then return back to the jetty and then transferred to your hotel in Hurghada.
